Lyrics

I think that I was born in the wrong century.  All the words of older days were meant to set you free. Now I just can’t agree with the way that folks are talking – they used to call it “unrequited love,” but now they call it “stalking.”

I follow right behind her about a block or so. I take her to the movies. I take her to the show.  The best thing for your heart is a regimen of walking.  They used to call it “unrequited love,” but now they call it “stalking”.

The best thing about stalkers is you always know they’ll call.  They help you with your problems as if they’d seen them all.

In another time I would have been a troubadour.  They would have called me “Shelly” they would have called me “Lord.” Now I spend a fortune on caller ID blocking.  They used to call it “unrequited love”, but now they call it “stalking.”
